The Good News is really good…
If you are a HexaTrack PRO user, or a Google Goggles customer, the good news is for you: I've posted my first Google Goggles tutorial below. (...)

by: Larry

The Good News is really good…

If you are a HexaTrack PRO user, or a Google Goggles customer, the good news is for you: I've posted my first Google Goggles tutorial below.

(HexaTrack PRO subscriptions include a free subscription to Google Goggles — download yours in the private HexaTrack PRO membership area if you haven't already.)

The bad news is actually really good too… if you act before Monday September 8!

If you're a HexaTrack FREE user, and don't have access to Google Goggles yet, it's time to put your goggles on ASAP!

If you do so by Monday September 8, 2008, you can still get your pair of goggles for $97 and $13.95 a month.

After Monday, we have no choice but increase the price for Google Goggles to $147 one-time and $17.95 a month. Hundreds upon hundreds of Google Goggles users have been pounding our system nonstop since the Google Goggles launch a few weeks ago. We had to beef up our servers and support staff accordingly.

Even at the new rate, trust us that we're not laughing all the way to the bank with the $17.95 subscription fee a month. You wouldn't believe the ripples this tool has made throughout the Internet marketing community. Increasing the buy-in to $147 on Monday and raising the monthly fees to cover our cost is the best way to regulate demand a little.

We're still getting dozens of orders for Google Goggles daily (the old price of $97 down, then $13.95/mo is still valid). You could be one of those who get on board and lock in the old pricing forever. Click here to order.

Now back to the really, really good news: Goggles tutorial #1 released…

Many folks had questions about how to best use the Goggles, as reflected in the Google Goggles section of our HexaTrack forum. I've begun to address some of them here:

What's next?

Google Goggles comes with HexaTrack and NicheGoggles. Those three combined make up a powerful closed-loop system for Adwords optimization and management.

Heck, those three combined, are all the tools you need to clean up big, immediately, as an Adwords consultant.

I can guarantee you that hardly any Adwords specialist has the tools to remote-diagnose Adwords problems on traffic funnels and sites that he doesn't even own. And that's a Larry promise.

Here's what you wanna do if you want to charge up to $5,000 set-up fee for Adwords consulting (as is customary these days):

Do local searches, perhaps in the same categories that you find in your yellow pages

Identify the businesses that are already running Adwords campaigns

Go into HexaTrack and brainstorm the keywords related to that business category

Stick the top 5 keywords into Google Goggles, and copy and paste their ad into the goggles as well

Analyze their Adwords funnel — not surprisingly, 90% of all funnels will have horrible Adwords quality score!

Now it's like shooting fish in a barrel. Call up those local businesses and e-mail the Google Goggles-generated PDF report to the decision maker.

Here's another Larry promise: Nobody — and I mean nobody in the entire world — has ever taken the time to truly care about their business as much as you just now have.

It's akin to a doctor making a remote diagnosis of a horrible, debilitating disease in you, taking the time to track you down, calling you up out of the blue, and offering to cure the disease.

Who could resist such an approach?

Of course, here and there, some grumpy, know-it-all local small-businessperson will. But a large, large percentage will at least give you the time to explain why they are in trouble, and that you are the one who can get them out of it.

My next video, which will also be posted here, will explain more how HexaTrack, NicheGoggles, and Google Goggles work together.

Stick around…

-Larry

P.S. Not to beat a dead horse…

….but the Monday deadline for the Google Goggles price increase is fast approaching. Also read Amish's post on the subject at the Google Goggles blog. Go here to see it.

Here's the deal again:

Order Google Goggles before Monday September 8, and lock in the old price of $97 a month with a $13.95 subscription fee. That subscription fee will not be raised on you, ever.

Order Google Goggles after Monday September 8, and pay $50 more — that's $147 — to sign up, and $4 more per Month — that's $17.95 a month. Given the power of this tool, still not shabby, but why waste the money? (Yes, I am New-York Jewish lol)

Recently, we had to do a similar thing for HexaTrack FREE vs. HexaTrack PRO. A few months ago, we had to close HexaTrack FREE to new member signups, and we were forced to raise HexaTrack PRO's price for new signups from $47 a month to $147.

We promised at the time that those who got in at the old pricing structure would never see their monthly prices raised on them. We stayed true to our word. We intend to do the same with Google Goggles.

So if you haven't purchased your Goggle Goggles yet, I urge you to do so today, before the prices go up. Go here to order.

Sometimes I don't get it.

You all are watching my videos at tutorials.hexatrack.com.

(I know this from our stats. The tutorials are one of the most popular items on HexaTrack.com.)

From my web stats, I know you see my lips flapping and my mouse moving.

You hear my words and see my actions, laid out for you, step-by-step.

In front of my mental eye, I can almost see you nodding in agreement while you're watching and re-watching each and every one of my step-by-step tutorials.

And I know you do this with the true intention of actually starting your own ad-spying campaigns with HexaTrack.

But there's a strange disconnect between your intentions and your actions, isn't there?

I can tell from my other stats — the ones of your activity inside HexaTrack — that only a fraction of you watch-ers become actual actual do-ers.

Those who actually go ahead and run 14-day or 30-day ad spying campaigns in HexaTrack do get intelligence that cracks markets wide open for them.

That is hard market data that will be closed off to you forever:

Competitors' actual Adwords ads, with their actual copy for you to "steal"

How many days these ads were running, on which exact keywords

even whether these ads were split-tested, and if so, you'll even get the two versions of the ad copy

Unless you start doing the same today, you will not get this data in 14 to 30 days.

(And this is fingerlickin' good data that your clueless competitors would kill to have at their disposal, if they just knew it existed — remember, most companies advertising on Adwords don't have a clue as to what's going on and stumbled upon profitability quite by accident!)

Yes, it takes a couple of weeks up to a month to get solid knowledge of what's going on in any given Adwords target market.

And with every day that you postpone, the day that you actually have that data in your hot little hands, will be pushed off even further into the future.

But I honestly don't think it's your fault!

We all have been conditioned to think wrongly. Here are some of the false assumptions we all have been brought up with in this modern world:

We foolishly expect instant results. Admit it: You would love for HexaTrack to spit out a profitable market instantly, with the push of a button.

The truth: it takes 14 - 30 days to get a grip on a market. So start today, 'cause if you wait another month, it's going to be yet another month till you have the kind of results that I'm showing in my latest tutorials at tutorials.hexatrack.com.

We expect the complete analysis to be done for us, completely. Again, if it was possible to analyze any and all markets completely automatically, with some kind of HexaTrack-like robot, without your own human intuition as to whether there's an opportunity in a given market or not…

…if such a robot existed, then the smartest investors in the world would have long pulled out of stocks, bonds, and currencies, and would have overrun the web with such tools, doubling their money daily running random CPA offers!

Never the modest of us two, I happen to think HexaTrack comes pretty darn close to such an automatic market finder robot…

…but you still have to look at the data that HexaTrack generates, put 1 and 2 together, and see if the niche you're exploring has what it takes to hand-build a profitable lead funnel based on that market!

To that end, namely to inspire your human intuition with the numeric data HexaTrack provides, I have created the most recent video titled "Next Steps".

You can watch it here, but before you do, I urge you to recap on all the other tutorials that I have posted on that page recently.

I know I probably can't deprogram our all-too-human procrastination habits completely, but watching all videos there will make the flow from idea to specific competitor intelligence that much more clear…

…as well as the urgency to get started with your own market research campaigns today, as they will take you 14 - 30 days to complete properly!

In fact, I'm throwing down the gauntlet today… to anyone who's a free or paid HexaTrack member and has not started spying on a market!

Spy or die: My 30-day ad-spy challenge to you

Yes, unless you spy on your competitors (and the market at large), you will die in today's Adword climate. Spy or die is truly my new motto.

As HexaTrack FREE or PRO user, you have the tool at your disposal. What is holding you back?

Is the fact that you don't already "know" a good market to explore?

Do you feel silly entering random markets into your HexaTrack ad spy slots that you have no clue whether they make money or not?

Well let me give you blanket permission right now to choose any market that you can monetize.

If you have an affiliate offer for it, you have my full permission and spiritual support to knock your teeth out and spy on that market with HexaTrack.

The worst you can lose is 14 to 30 days of your life:

Remember, spying on a market in HexaTrack doesn't cost you a dime!

Do we have an understanding?

When I check my stats tomorrow, I want to see you run ad spy campaigns in a market of your choice… no matter how "stupid" or a "waste of time" that market might turn out to be.

It's like exposing yourself to any new situation in life. Whenever I go out and do something silly that I have no skills at, or have never done before at all, I always, always, always learn something from the experience.

With HexaTrack's spybot roaming your competitor's adwords campaigns on your behalf, do you think you'll learn something after the 14 or 30 days of ad spying are over?

I sure think so!

The only real waste that's going on here is you wasting your available HexaTrack Ad Tracking slots on a daily basis!

Every day that you choose to not use the Ad Tracker portion of HexaTrack, the computing power allocated to our spy bot benefits someone else who is smarter than you and uses their allocated Ad Tracker slot… if for nothing else but to learn!

Do I have you undivided commitment to:

recap the videos at tutorials.hexatrack.com (pay special attention to the Next Steps video as it brings it all together)

browse your CPA networks for offers that you feel might be winners (but don't necessarily have to — remember you're just learning!)

log into HexaTrack next (follow the lost password procedure if you don't have your login credentials handy)

fill each and every available Ad Tracker slot with keywords pertaining to the offers you're contemplating…

…and let the thing run for 2 - 4 weeks!

Yes, log in every couple of days to see how it's doing. Look at your own keyword choices and campaigns in detached way, as if you acted as a consultant to someone else's Adwords success.

It's always easier to analyze other people's problems and life situations than one's own, isn't it? So use that little mental trick to "fall out of love" (or hate) with your own market choices and become an analyst that reads the profitability score and other numbers generated by HexaTrack, so you can spot the wide-open market gaps that Amish and I find every day.

Ready for the 30-day Spy or Die Challenge? I will be watching HexaTrack internal usage stats closely and will be following up with you.

-Larry

P.S. As always, post your responses as comments to this article, or use the forum at www.hexatrack.com/forum to get help and advice from me, Amish, our support team, and thousands of other HexaTrack users.

By: Amish

Before I go into the somewhat controversial part of today's video, thanks for the flood of comments about my recent video exposing the IFRAME trick to avoid the Google slap. Some of you responded with really cool questions and comments — comments that show me that you're actually using our stuff! Way to go, friends!

Today I'm responding specifically to the best blog comments and that doesn't necessarily mean the comments that give us the most praise. (Thanks for those, by the way, glad you guys liked our video.)

But honestly, we appreciate any and all opinions, whether they're in sync with ours, or contrarian… so let's dive right into today's controversy:

Can a car run on half water half gas? And: As affiliate marketers, do we care if it actually can?

Now, I'm not here to discuss the scientific merits of the many e-books populating ClickBank that claim that a car can increase gas mileage by adding a homemade contraption consisting of:

an old sourkraut jar, now filled with water

two electrodes and wires

and a couple of rubber hoses.

I leave that to the rocket scientists among you to decide. I was always taught that energy cannot be destroyed or created, only transformed from one form to another… so let's just say I'll wait for Larry to install it in his beemer to see how much gas he actually saves.

My field of expertise is finding and evaluating CPA offers… and I got a lot of flak for bashing the "Run You Car on Water" offers that seem to be all the rage on ClickBank these days.

"But why Amish? Why is this probably a bad offer to promote?"

I'll leave it to you to watch my video, but let me just say this upfront:

Many of you tend to forget the business basics when you evaluate affiliate offers… you tend to forget that people have established buying habits and constant, pressing, recurring needs that they must fulfill — those are the markets you want to be in!

Instead, your greed glands often create this irresistable urge to promote what (apparently!) everyone else is promoting, and that "they" make a lot of money with… (or so it seems)

The result: You open the front page of ClickBank's marketplace and feel that there's a wild moneymaking party going on, and because you're not invited, you want in so badly, you forget your own business sense!!

Watch my video to see what I mean…

Are you healed from the "Car on Water" bug yet? Appearences are sometimes deceiving, and ClickBank gravity can be easily manipulated.

Look for the agenda behind "feeding frenzy" phenomena like that. Think: "What do they want me to believe and why?"

Identify those who would benefit from you buying into their hype. Then make an informed decision.

As for Larry and me, would much rather be in solid, boring markets, that serve people's constant, never-changing need (such as the need to look and feel beautiful), than to gamble on overhyped products that nobody talks about except a few sellers on ClickBank.

Seriously, how many people in your circle of friends and family are factually in the habit of upgrading their car engine with homemade contraptions? How many have even heard of the possibility to burn hydrogen with a normal engine? Despite claims to the contrary, these run-car-on-water kits aren't exactly headline news on CNN — maybe due to questionable science.

Now compare that with the women (and increasingly men) who are in the regular habit of purchasing cosmetics.

Think about it: When a regular consumer of cosmetics runs out of the stuff that makes them beautiful, they must buy a replacement. It's not just "nice to have". Or something to "check out" and "seek more information on". A regular user of cosmetics has no choice but to buy unless they want to discontinue their beautification regimen.

Yet, a market like this is full of opportunities: Buyers will always be looking for a better deal of the brand they already consume, or will look for new, innovative products that give better results. And they will randomly search for these better deals and products with different money keywords or long-tail keywords that change over time, as trends and products change.

It's up to you - follow the lemmings into a bidding war in a market that may or may not exist (except in ClickBank's marketplace), or stick with solid business basics and build campaigns that'll make you money for months, sometimes years to come…

~Amish

P.S. In other news, Larry has been busy behind the scenes and is about to release new tutorials at http://tutorials.hexatrack.com — he'll upload them this weekend and as soon as they're streaming and tested, he'll make a blog post here and send an e-mail blast.

Okay, how do you go from:

"I have an idea for a market"

…to…

"Adwords campaigns up and running and making money"?

I watched Larry's new Pay-Per-Click 2.0 training video and it pretty much nails it. In over 50 minutes, it describes the exact process that Larry and I go through every day to identify and "crack" new, profitable PPC markets.

In the video, Larry is using a specific example market, too, so no secrets held back here.

We just released this video on the PRO-only portion of our forum and users seem to like it. PRO users please go here:

http://www.hexatrack.com/forum/index.php/topic,183.0.html

(Like all our PPC 2.0 tutorials, it is only available to HexaTrack PRO users. That was our promise to PRO users, and we're keeping it.)

If you're a HexaTrack FREE member, we have new training for you as well; I'll get to that in a minute.

But first, today's BIG, BIG, BIG announcement…

Our coders Jeffery and Matt had to endure a lot of abuse from Larry and me during the last few months…

I don't know if it's despite that or because of it, but they came up with a new tool. Sort of in their spare time, on the side. Kind of a surprise to us…

Anyway, when my closest PPC friends and I saw the beta version a couple of days ago, everyone's jaw literaly dropped to the floor and wanted a copy of it.

Imagine you cold put on "Google Goggles" and could see your own landing page and Adwords ad through Google's eyes for just a moment…

Imagine you had the same x-ray vision that only Google's bot has when it evaluates your landing page..

(yes, I'm talking about that moment when those googely little colored balls bounce left and right on your screen… betraying the fact that Google decides that moment whether your PPC campaign will be profitable or a dud.)

Imagine you could not only have that x-ray vision for your own campaigns, but could evaluate other people's sites just as easily…

In short: Imagine sitting on the other side of the fence, behind Google's scenes, running the exact process they're using to either slap you with outrageous bid prices… or reward you for the PPC congruency we've been teaching.

With "Google Goggles" on, you will know instantly if your competitors know what they're doing…

…or if they're as clueless as that 16-year-old blonde that accidentally busted into a Mensa meeting!!

If you had such a tool, do you think it would turn the tables on Google just a little bit?

If your competitors knew that you could *SPY* not only on their ads, but their landing page quality score, do you think the advantage you'll have could be called "slightly unfair?"

If you were the ONLY ONE who had behind-the-scenes access to the Google Bot, would it perhaps help you make some MONEY with PPC where others fail?

Well, Matt and Jeffery have pulled it off, from what we can tell. Your personal GoogleBot, living on your own desktop, there to give you Google's coveted quality score without breaking into your competitor's Adwords accounts, and without spending a dime of your own!

If this tool delivers what it promises, it could be literally the skeleton key to millions of dollars worth of Adwords profits!!

Larry and I kicked it around and found it may be a little "too" valuable to give away to the public. For the time being, this tool–once it's out of beta—will be available to HexaTrack PRO users only. Watch for an announcement here shortly.

[Now going back to the promised tutorials for ALL HexaTrack users.]

HexaTrack FREE users can now sink their teeth into this site, and the training videos posted there:

http://tutorials.hexatrack.com/

And PRO users, remember the home for your PPC 2.0 tutorials (paid HexaTrack PRO membership required):

http://www.hexatrack.com/forum/index.php/topic,183.0.html

Watch these sites, and the e-mail announcement list, for updates. The training you wanted is finally here. Larry and I will be cranking out video after video in the next few weeks…

…and PRO users, watch out for those mysterious Google Goggles to appear on your desktop soon…
Alright, with today's video I think Amish has pushed the envelope a little too far. (...)

by: Larry

Alright, with today's video I think Amish has pushed the envelope a little too far. I think he did great but man, some of the things he let slip out… I just hope not too many people in Mountain View will notice!! (We love you guys )

Not that we're showing anything in this video that wasn't in HexaTrack all along. Monitoring competitor's Adwords ads and how to interpret the results… frames and iframes to increase the quality score and apease the Google bot… that kind of thing…

It's just that the feedback from you has shown us that few people knew these features existed and used them properly. Or ever.

You asked for more training. We're obliging.

These are the kinds of tutorials that we're currently cranking out, now that HexaTrack memberships are frozen and we can fully focus on our FREE and PRO users' success.

So if you're reading this and you're not a member, it means that unfortunately I can't invite you in at the moment. "Frozen membership" means no new HexaTrack signups and no upgrades and downgrades, until, well, I feel that a great part of our HexaTrack users have followed the same transformation we made a couple of years ago…

I mean a transformation from "make money fast" opportunist to true Internet entrepreneur that treats his Adwords landing sites as a business to gain financial freedom and control over his lifestyle, rather than staying in "eternal learning-but-never-doing" mode, which is what most information junkies do.

As you know, I'm on a bit of a mission here with HexaTrack.

My personal selfish little goal is to turn as many of those of you, who still hang on to sorry little biz opper habits, into real businesspeople. (No offense if you already run a serious Adwords busines). For the rest that that means:

Don't "try" to create great landing pages; instead do sit on your behind until they work.

Don't whine about how cruel affiliate marketing can be, when things don't go your way; instead question and test everything (including our own advice!) and try again.

Stop consuming educational material (inlcuding ours!) for the sake of "learning just one more technique". Instead, take action and be willing to fail with your campaigns.

In short: Stop planning and dreaming. Start doing. Today.

Dunno what you're waiting for… with HexaTrack, you have the tools at your disposal to do as well for yourself as we are… or better.

Awight… so what's the hubbub about this video?

Amish was really in a giving mood when he shot this yesterday (as he almost always is–more so than me anyway, lol). Here's my honest asessment of the 16-minute clip:

When Amish tore apart the "Run your car on water" market, I wouldn't have named names and showed actual Web sites that he concluded he wouldn't promote. He did though, and I have to say, it was worth it to go on a limb and show real-world examples.

He then switched to the cosmetics market and, with the help of a free tool written by one of our friends, reverse-engineered some competing offers and found a campaign that he would definitely give a serious try in Adwords. (A potential winner.)

Want those extra-low price clicks? The sitemap generator he's suggesting is another great free resource to bump up your Adwords quality score, and a great example of the stuff that he and I test every single day… details that others just don't seem to know… or care about?

But then, when it came to the FRAME/IFRAME trick to hide your affiliate URL, I don't think I would've spelled out our exact process to get 2-cents clicks, like Amish did… but oh well, he did.

See, built right into HexaTrack is an "ethical trick" that makes the GoogleBot think your site is a little richer in content than it actually is, leading to great quality score, even if you promote affiliate offers - the kind that Google doesn't normally like!

Pay attention to three parts where Amish puts it all together:

listen to why he thinks the cosmetics offer is probably a market worth trying, even though the competitors seem to be only doing so-so (this asessment has to do with how quickly competitors seem to come and go in a given niche… less turnover is better!)

then notice how HexaTrack's keyword-level tracking feature gives Amish that extra edge that your humdrum competitors don't have… HexaTrack wil tell you the true money keywords that are simply missing in your competitor's keyword mix!!

Lastly, watch like a hawk when Amish shows how to build his GoogleBot-proof landing page. This part goes by a little fast, but our FRAME technique is an absolutely critical part of the HexaTrack secret sauce.

(I know, we hid that FRAME building feature cleverly in one of the more remote screens in HT's user interface. Working on that )

Okay before I get accused of hyping up my buddy's video too much, take a lookster yourself:

So this li'l technique should enable you to:

without spending a penny, separate horrible markets ("Run Car on Water" ebooks) from markets that are at least promising

build a quick FRAMEd landing page that, to the human eye, shows the affiliate offer, but to Google's bot, serves relevant content and good quality score

Run the new campaign long enough so you'll find the money keywords that can be had for 10 cents, or sometimes as low as 2!

Oh by the way, Amish says, "sorry for the cliffhanger"…

Building that "real site" is what's going to go into our PRO-level tutorials. Take his advice. I would not try and "ride out" FRAMEd sites for too long…

We know that eventually, any Adwords landing page will be reviewed manually. It may take a week, it may take a month. And at that point, if it screams "affiliate offer", rather than "free valuable content", you can be almost certain to get slapped with high bid prices.

HexaTrack PRO users will get extensive training on this subject in about a week. There is specific software that comes with HexaTrack PRO that'll help you build Adwords-friendly landing sites–practically blind, even with one arm tied behind your back. (I'm not even exaggarating.)

Of course, even if you're not a PRO user, we'll keep helping you. Stay tuned for the next installment on this FREE blog to see what you can do even if you don't have the resources in the HexaTrack PRO membership available to you.

by: Amish

I'll make this quick; yesterday's webinar, with yours truly and Larry, and hosted by Harald Anderson of ClickBooth.com, is now available to view right here.

As you watch this, I need to make a disclaimer: We're honestly a little embarassed about all the praise that Harald was pouring over us; seriously he's not compensated or paid to say good things about HexaTrack. He just likes to educate his affiliates on what he feels are great tools out there. These calls will be a regular occurance for ClickBooth affiliates, conducted by Harald at least once every other week.

ClickBooth is really cool like that; you might want to reciprocate their favor and sign up for their network when you get a chance here: https://my.clickbooth.com/signup/CD30807

Yes, this is a link that tells ClickBooth that we referred you to them; some people don't like affiliate links so I wanted to make sure to disclose this fact here. (Whether you sign up to an affiliate network through an affiliate or not, it doesn't afftect your commissions at all.)

This link does, however, immediately flag your account as a personal referral from us, and WILL get you approved faster. While we're certainly not the biggest fishes in the affiliate pond, we do a sizeable volume with ClickBooth, so our recommendation carries some weight. If we refer you to an affiliate network, you are definitely less likely to run into your application being denied.

(No blanket promises though - if you write stupid stuff in your application like "Source of traffic: Spam", you're actually hurting our reputation, so don't do it!)

Treat your affiliate networks with respect and they will be as helpful as Harald from ClickBooth. On yesterday's call, he spilled a couple of pay-per-click secrets that are not common knowledge (pay attention during the 2nd half of the webinar when he talks about how he exploits the Google content network):

As promised, we're keeping the $1-for-1-month "final offer" open till Thursday June 12 at noon Pacific Time so that Harald's ClickBooth peeps got a chance to sign up… [even if you're not a ClickBooth fan, you can sneak in with the coupon code bestweekendever to reduce your shopping cart charge to $1 for the first month.] Go here.

You're probably already tired of hearing that this is the "last chance to sign up for HexaTrack PRO" for the foreseeable future; we already had to yank the FREE HexaTrack offer when our servers melted down a few weeks ago (if you're one of the 8,000+ existing members, you'll continue to be fully supported–in fact, even more so now than before).

That's officially it… for new HexaTrack PRO signups anyway!

Hope our journey together doesn't end here. See you on the other side… (that's inside HexaTrack PRO, of course!)

~Amish

P.S. This just in: Our head coder Jeffery informed me today that with the freezing of HexaTrack memberships, he'll have time to develop way more cool stuff for PPC-to-affiliate marketers. New software that works together with HexaTrack FREE and PRO.

The demo version that Jeffery showed me today got my mind racing… and we're already being pushed and prodded by our friends to give it away like we did with HexaTrack at first.

Not so sure about that… Larry thinks this new software may be way too valuable and should sell for around $2,000… more on that on the"inside" of HexaTrack PRO. Join in here.

So a few days ago we got this phone call… "This is Harald Anderson, director of search marketing at ClickBooth, and we want to interview you."
Interview us? For a job? (...)

by: Amish

So a few days ago we got this phone call… "This is Harald Anderson, director of search marketing at ClickBooth, and we want to interview you."

Interview us? For a job? What's going on? We've been successful but quiet ClickBooth affiliates for years, yet this came a bit by surprise.

[It's amazing just who signs up your service when you offer it for free (or almost free)… you literally have no idea who's on your list!]

Turns out they've been quietly following HexaTrack, and think that our lil' software could be of use to their 7,000 pay-per-click based affiliates… and they want to tell every single one about it, in form of a live, free teleseminar on Tuesday evening!

Oh no! Not more free members LOL… our poor servers!

Actually, good timing for our server load, as we just closed the doors on free memberships. Alrighty then, if ClickBooth thinks HexaTrack is da bomb… interview us and broadcast it to your 7,000 PPC affiliates!

Just one timing problem remained: our $1 offer was slated to be closed Monday at 12 noon Pacific.

Guess we have to postpone the cutoff for the $1 offer a bit …to give the ClickBooth affiliates on the call a chance to try HexaTrack PRO.

So the new cutoff for the $1 offer is Thursday 12 noon Pacific Time. Till then, the coupon code bestweekendever will get you into HexaTrack PRO 2.0 at $1 for the first month. Click here to sign up.

Oh, before we go into what's going to be revealed at the teleseminar, we wanted to ask you…

Tell the truth: are stories about our business and growth of interest to you?

We've been getting a small amount of "backlash" recently… just a couple of e-mails here and there. They're criticizing us for sharing:

how our business is going through growing pains and successes

how our different membership levels and offers are coming and going

the weird, serendipitous things we enounter along the way of our journey, such as last week's Best Weekend Ever nutrition conference, or this weekend, the sudden interest from ClickBooth to promote us to their 7,000 affiliates.

Originally, our thought when sharing this stuff was, "This is what will happen to your business too, if you follow our model, so why not tell about it?"

Look, we're trying to keep the business part of our blog posts at a reasonable ratio, compared to the value we're providing overall.

Sometimes the stuff I write tips the scale a little towards business. Sometimes our training videos tip the scale more towards solid value you can take home.

On balance, I think we still give more to the universe than we take.

In fact, this is exactly the approach to marketing that we're advocating to our HexaTrack PRO 2.0 members, behind the scenes.

Some people got annoyed that:

we have to raise our prices (with plenty notice!) to sustain our operation (we don't have a sugar daddy venture capitalist fund to back us, nor do we want one)

that we have to freeze our memberships to keep supporting this free service without going absolutely nuts (8,000 members to support!)

and that we have to be hard-asses about the deadlines we impose on our offers, or we'll be left with no integrity whatsoever!

This is a blog about marketing and making money online. I'm not going to go into the irony of aspiring marketers being "offended" by being made offers to, and shared business stories with. Instead, I suggest a practical approach:

Before you get angry as only a Larry can, ask yourself: What have you done today to build a free or cheap membership site (or software, or blog, or video or whatever) that, on balance, adds more value to the universe than it takes away?

If you can show us your way of giving more value to your universe (without going bankrupt!), this is the moment to step up and add a comment to this blog post. Our model is not meant to be the be-all end-all of "marketing 2.0". We want to hear about your ideas and add them to our pool of wisdom. Fair?

Okay, on with today's main announcement…

ClickBooth to conduct a free Teleseminar Tuesday June 10, 8:30 pm Eastern Time / 5:30 pm Pacific Time with Yours Truly & Larry!

Originally, I wasn't even supposed to share this with you. When Harald called us, this was planned strictly as a ClickBooth-internal affair. We twisted his arm thoroughly however (by several 360-degree rotations), and finally, Harald got me the teleseminar info:

Look we don't want those people in our membership who are in the habit of just letting their tools collect dust.

As you know, there is a large group of people out there who are happy to collect any kind of free or inexpensive Internet marketing tool, and never take any action.

I guess, in a way we're encouraging this bad behavior by making HexaTrack PRO almost free to get in this weekend.

That's were faith comes into play. We have to have faith in you that you will use the $1 trial period to:

actually research 16 markets with the keyword spy tool (you can use the first two weeks of your $1 trial for that)

actually run and track 8 campaigns with the tracking tool (perhaps using the last two weeks of your $1 trial)

In-between, you can bug us, ask for support, post in the VIP PRO user forum and bounce your ideas off of us… or off of the many other helpful souls behind the curtain of HexaTrack PRO. (You're not just buying into a technical tool… you're buying into a community of hundreds of PRO users here!)

If HexaTrack is not for you after the $1 trial period, at least you've taken some action towards a sustainable Internet income (however, the membership won't be offered again for $1).

If we didn't have faith in you, we couldn't make this $1 offer. (Use the coupon code bestweekendever when you join.) Respect for having taken action. Respect for building a sustainable Internet income and, by way of that, a sustainable life.

Building a sustainable life?

At the end of the day, that's what it's all about to us. I personally had to transform from young Amish 1.0 to today's Amish 2.0.

I used to be a scatterbrained opportunity hound, like many of the non-action takers (the people whom we don't necessarily need in HexaTrack). I was always chasing after the next loophole in the system that I could hack and crack and spam and make a few bucks on the side.

I made good money in spurts, but I freely admit it, I was lazy. I valued distractions and diversions more than being of long-term service to the Internet community. I was being a bit of a parasite, if you allow that ecosystem metaphor.

(Speaking of ecosystems, I will have a lot more to say about the Internet as an ecosystem in a later post.)

Today, Amish 2.0 is slowly on his way to getting a grip on his life as a whole. I'm not fully there yet, but I know I'm on my way.

And I'm surrounding myself more and more with people who have discovered the same secret. My buddy Larry, for example, or the aforementioned gentlemen David Wolfe of SunFood.com and Len Foley of TheBestDayEver.com.

I don't mention them to brag or send traffic to their pages for an affiliate commission. The links aren't even clickable. My point is what I learn from these guys about sustainable traffic in an Internet ecosystem, and sustaining myself in the natural ecosystem, flows directly into the way we do things here at HexaTrack.

In fact, we learned so much from these guys this last weekend in Atlanta alone, we wanted to share some of their philosophy with you — a philosophy that helped bring us where we are today.

Sustainable Traffic - Sustainable Living

I let these videos speak for themselves. I came back from this last weekend in Atlanta refreshed and energized, full of ideas to take action.

I want this weekend — the HexaTrack-for-$1 weekend — to be your best weekend ever. (Use the coupon code bestweekendever when you join.)

Watching these videos again just now, while writing this blog post, gave me 3 new ideas for recurring-revenue membership sites that I want to build shortly.

3 fresh ideas for sustainable business models…

These are ideas for sustainable business models, of which Pay-Per-Click traffic is only the first step of the lead-generating funnel. I actually got sidetracked while writing this blog entry and began researching these markets in HexaTrack PRO. If the competition in this market is clueless (it usually is), and traffic is high, we may have winners here.

HexaTrack will have the answer for me in a few days of competitive research. In the mean time, I will begin building some sites in these 3 markets, based on proven templates that we're sharing in the PRO membership area shortly.

Don't get me wrong, I don't like to work more hours than necessary. That's not what "not being lazy" is about. Most sustainable business models that we share behind the scenes are completely "cookie cutter." Amish 2.0 just gets more long-term benefit from everything he does now, than Amish 1.0 ever did.

Finally, when HexaTrack's competitive research shows me the green light, I will begin running some of the more obvious keywords that HexaTrack found for me, and send traffic to my sites. I will burn a few bucks, with a close eye on my daily spending limits, to feed some data into HexaTrack.

(By the way, even though the $1 offer is cheap, we do not want you to sign up if you're completely broke — you will need some money to experiment with Pay-Per-Click advertising, or you will not succeed!)

As I get clicks and conversions in these markets, HexaTrack PRO will detemine my money keywords… which are usually (but not always) found in the "long tail" end of the spectrum. I will keep the keywords that convert, and ditch the keywords that don't make me any money.

You could do the same in the next 30 days. My tool is only $1 for that whole period of time (coupon code: bestweekendever). It's the only tool I can recommend, because it's the only one I use myself. I recommend you sign up for it now, because after this weekend, we have to take care of our existing members. Meaning after Monday 12 noon Pacific, it won't be available at all, at any price.

~Amish

P.S. Don't forget the coupon code: bestweekendever

Without the code, your shopping cart will show $197. That's the price that everyone else pays this weekend, except you our loyal blog readers. It's not a big gift, but accept it nevertheless. Invest the savings into your own Adwords campaign (remember, the second two weeks of your trial period!). Just so long as you take action. I have faith in you. Go here to join us at HexaTrack PRO for just $1.

What is an opportunity?

Stupid question? No really, let's try to define it.

I'd say it's the prospect for one of two things:

Either gain. Or avoidance of pain.

And, of course, an opportunity is time-sensitive. It comes and goes. The whole scarcity deal.

I'm not the type to beat around the bush, so let me come right out with the fact that I have an opportunity for you, buried right in this blog post.

I think it's a solid opportunity, but hey, that's just me. I don't like to "sell" people on opportunities I offer. The kind of people I like to surround myself with, usually recognize a good opportunity, and jump on it, before it disappears.

Not that it is I who make the opportunity disappear. It's just in the nature of the beast. These constellations that form opportunity aren't always under our control. In fact, most of the time, they are serendipitous. I'm a strong believer in that.

Take David Wolfe, Len Foley, Daniel Vitalis, and Mike Adams, for example. Amish and I had a chance to meet face-to-face with all of these guys this past weekend in Atlanta. Even if you don't know who these guys are (you should!), the point is, we jumped on a plane and went. We seized an opportunity when we saw it.

[If you remember, we're helping David Wolfe's Sun Food business, and his membership site operated by Len Foley. It's one of those weird "hobbies" that Amish and I can afford to spend time on, ever since we've put our Pay-Per-Click 2.0 business on cruise control with HexaTrack PRO.]

Before I explain the opportunity I have for you, let me explain why our Atlanta get-together was so unique, anyone –including you!– would have jumped on it right away:

David Wolfe seems to be more than your next nutrition "guru"; people literally go nuts over this guy wherever he speaks. Freaks us out a little that we're now working with him, "on the side" so to speak, building his massive raw food business www.sunfood.com.

Len Foley is one of those elusive super internet marketers out there, best known as owner of dozens of successful membership sites, and viral video maker. As a raw foodist, he spread the superviral video "The Bionic Burger" on YouTube. Look it up! Len charges tens of thousands of dollars upfront before he'll build your membership site.

Daniel Vitalis (shown here holding a medicinal mushroom), calls himself an herbal tonic and elixir master. We think rightfully so; we tried his concoctions. He runs www.elixircraft.com, and yes, we're into that weird kind of stuff.

Mike Adams (tall dude), another one of these behind-the-scenes guys that few have ever heard of. But how does a membership base of 1.2 million subscribers at his site nutritionnews.com sound?

We're not at 1.2 million members yet with HexaTrack, but comparing membership sizes is not what this Atlanta meeting was about. It was about the opportunity to meet, and exchange value. Every good opportunity means you get at least as much out of it as the other guy.

(Thank God we don't have 1.2 million HexaTrack members; as you remember our servers melted down a couple weeks ago with just 8,000 members.. The ghosts from that meltdown, are by the way, the reason why the opportunity that I have for you is so, umm, timely…)

"Okay the suspense is unbearable. Larry what is the opportunity for me?"

My development director Jeffery gave me a recommendation the other day: No more new HexaTrack users, or the server overwhelm from last week is going to happen again. And I'd rather pull the plug than stand for another service outage again.

See, I don't like to apologize for screwups. I like to avoid screwups in the first place. Amish is too nice to make heads roll when necessary; I have no problem with it. So I'm taking Jeffery's recommendation very seriously. 8,000+ members is enough, so we will freeze HexaTrack membership status as of Monday, June 9, 2008. I don't care if some people will be butthurt about this. Leave it Larry to always do what has to be done.

That means:

After the freeze, all current membership accounts will continue to get support; in fact much more so, now that we can take a break from marketing HexaTrack

However, no new membership signups, not FREE nor PRO (that's right, you can't even offer us money to take you on)

No upgrades from HexaTrack FREE to PRO. That means if you decide to let this pass and stay with a FREE account (the account level with limited features and no PPC 2.0 training), it will stay at that level until we re-open (which could be months).

The reverse is true as well: If you read this before 12 noon Pacific Time on Monday June 9th, you may manage to sneak into one of the last PRO 2.0 membership slots we're accepting now.

And to make good on our prior promise of a gift from us to you for the long server downtime last month…

…we're offering HexaTrack PRO 2.0 for
just $1 for the first month, plus we waive
the $50 set-up fee — this weekend only!

So it's official… you can now get into HexaTrack PRO 2.0 for just a buck, and with your $1 trial membership, get our full Pay-Per-Click 2.0 training delivered to you month after month, in form of:

We call Pay-Per-Click 2.0 (PPC 2.0), or "the art and science of getting riduclously low per-click prices and ludicrously high conversions." It's done by combining traditional Google Adwords (or other traffic sources) with Web 2.0 technologies such as video, social networking, social bookmarking, blogging, and so on. Join the HexaTrack PRO 2.0 tribe and you'll see. Hey it's only a buck, damnit!

So here's the hard timeline for this $1 offer (and the subsequent account freeze):

Thursday June 5, 2008: Price structure changes from $97 to $1 for the first month (no set-up fee; subsequent months are $147). Use the coupon code: bestweekendever

Thursday - Sunday: Amish and I have an awesome value video for you which is all about the inner transformation that we are really all about… on the surface, the video is about nutrition… but on a deeper level, it's about the mental junk food you're addicted to.

(Shall you too convert from a follower, dreamer and "biz-opper" to a true Internet marketer that takes charge of his life and his destiny, by taking advantage of the connections between things…)

Monday, June 9, 2008: All offers will be yanked, no new HexaTrack FREE or PRO for anyone. Instead, there will be a waiting list, for the time after our next server upgrade, when we're prepared to take on more users…

-Larry

P.S. Please comment below on this offer. Fair? Too little? Too much? Remember my definition of an opportunity is that you get at least as much out of the bargain as the other party, if not more.
To say this upfront: It's all good now. Larry is happy. No blood vessels blown. No voices raised.

But I had to proactively address his concerns. I knew what this was about, so let me come right out with the result of our little chat:

Beginning some time next week, we won't be able to take on more HexaTrack users, FREE or PRO level, unless we want to risk another server meltdown like last week

I already told you about our upcoming HexaTrack PRO 30-days-for-$1 offer, to go live next week, along with a necessary price rise to $147/mo, to pay for our fancy new server infrastructure.

(We came up with that as a humble peace offering to everyone who thought we had fallen off the planet during our server downtime; as of now you can still get HexaTrack PRO for $47 a month forever, but with a $50 set-up fee.)

Here's the issue: something's gotta give.

Looking at our server stats, Larry noticed yesterday that you've been pounding our servers harder than ever before (especially the keyword & ad spy tool) .

Not that there's anything wrong with that. Lots of folks signed up at the old $47/mo rate in the last couple of days, and when the $1-for-30-days offer is out next week, we expect another rush of PRO signups. So our current offers stand,if you want to learn this new art and science we're calling Pay-Per-Click 2.0 as a PRO member, but…

…after next week, when the $1/$147mo deal is over, we'll have to take a break from accepting new members. For a while. For real.

Larry consulted with Jeffery our development director, and they concluded: we'll have our hands full helping existing members, and we need some time to grow our infrastructure. All existing clients will be fully supported, in fact, even more so, as we can take a break from marketing our tool and really get into helping you.

So here's the updated timeline of what we'll have to do to make our existing members happy:

Currently: Become a full-fledged PRO 2.0 member at $47 a month (locked in forever) with a $50 set-up fee.

Next week for 24 hours: Become a PRO 2.0 member at $147 a month (locked in forever), but pay only $1 for the first month.

Therafter:

No more HexaTrack FREE signups (there'll be a waiting list)

No more HexaTrack PRO signups (as we'll be busy teaching existing PRO users the way of "PPC 2.0")

No more upgrades from FREE to PRO

No more upgrades from FREE to PRO until we re-open?

This deserves some explanation.

Even if you're already a HexaTrack FREE member, your membership status will be "frozen" in FREE mode until we decide to open new PRO memberships up again. None of this means that your account itself will stop working — quite the opposite, you'll get better service from us, whether you're at PRO level or FREE level, now that we're not going to be distracted with marketing to new members.

So, without trying to making this some big deal "high pressure" proposition, you may want to decide this week if HexaTrack PRO 2.0 is for you.

To that end, I filmed a brief video walking you through our new features:

Support for all affiliate networks, not just the "big 6"

Keyword tracking for any e-commerce site!

Tracking your e-mail campaign clickthroughs, opt-in rates, and even conversions

Please post your comments below and let us know what you think…

Again, we're sorry that we have to "freeze" the influx of new HexaTrack memberships as of next week, but I hope you can already see that fewer new members means better features and more individual attention to every customer.

(8,000+ HexaTrack FREE members is a LOT to deal with!)

If you want to participate in the cool stuff that's to come, consider upgrading to HexaTrack PRO now under the old terms ($47 a month with a $50 set-up fee), or wait with your upgrade until the $1 down, $147/mo offer comes live next week (for only 24 hours before we shut the gates).

Oh… and thanks for helping me cool down Larry…

~Amish

P.S. There's ONE secret feature that did not make it into this video…

Announcing the HexaTrack International Keyword Spy Tool (HexaTrack PRO 2.0 only)

This is something you asked for.

And when you ask Larry & Amish, you shall receive.

(If your feature request is cool, anyway.)

This feature request is one we really liked so we're paying our coders overtime to get this done by next week.

You will be able to track international ads on Google Adwords in about a week or so. This means when you advertise in regions other than the United States, HexaTrack's Ad Spy Tool will adapt and only pull up competitor's ads in the region(s) you specify.

If you want to find out who advertises on google.hk (Hong Kong) under your keywords, HexaTrack can do it. Or google.de (Germany). Or google.co.uk (United Kingdom). Your choice.

So there… another goodie for PRO users. (Take it or leave it… but if you're an international Google advertiser, you should really get in on this before we close the gates.)
