Free HexaTrack video training available today

by: Amish

Get this…

Pushing and prodding my "Internet beach bum" partner Larry has finally shown some results!!

That lazy "surfer dude", whose pay-per-click exploits seemingly afford him to live without working, finally got around to finishing the first set of video tutorials for HexaTrack… ;-)

(Yes, Larry was seen skiing, surfing, paragliding and diving on no less than 3 different continents in the last two months!)

So today is the day that you can get completely free HexaTrack video training online!

But I have to commend Larry for the job he's done. Here's why:

  • He explains how to get started with HexaTrack without any jargon or requiring pre-existing knowledge of the system so you can apply the knowledge right away.
  • He shows step-by-step what to do in both the affiliate network user interface (the guys who will pay you) and in HexaTrack.
  • Rather than jumping from one unrelated example to the next, the tutorials cover one example campaign from start to finish.

That way, you can replicate this one campaign at home (with your own keywords, in your own market) and flesh it out with details as new tutorials are released!

Isn't that neat? ;-)

The secret to making money with PPC is to just be a little better than your competitors… then the lion's share of money will flow to you instead of them!

If you have about 30 minutes to invest into your financial future today, our new video tutorials show you how it's done. If you "get it" and are ready to jump into HexaTrack with more than just a few experimental campaigns, go here and sign up for HexaTrack PRO.

(Psst, there are a few more urgent reasons to jump on HexaTrack PRO before it's too late; I have saved those remarks for the end of this blog post today… so read on!)

But first: What is HexaTrack and why should you care? Let's start with…

…a crash course in making money on the web

The only way money is made online is by selling "stuff"… ebooks, online memberships, gifts, electronics, what-have-you. Many companies (known as "vendors" or "merchants") are willing to pay commissioned salespeople, whom they call "affiliates", a percentage of every sale made, if they send traffic ("clicks") to the company's web site. A typical commission payout would be 40% on, say, a $50 product.

Sometimes it's not even necessary for the affiliate to actually sell stuff — vendors may even be willing to pay their affiliates a flat dollar amount for every prospect that fills out a form (what we call a "lead" or an "action", hence the term "cost per action" or "CPA"). A typical CPA payout would be $7 for a lead.

In order to determine the commission check owed to every affiliate at the end of the month, each affiliate operates under a unique ID, the "affiliate ID" which is usually an arbitrary combination of numbers and letters, not unlike a car license plate.

When the affiliate sends traffic to the company's "landing page" in hopes of making a sale, he must tack on his "affiliate ID" to the Web address ("URL") of the landing page — otherwise, the company would have no way of knowing which affiliate is to be credited for which sale or lead.

Now it is somewhat inefficient for each and every seller of "stuff" online to find and manage its own affiliates. Motivating a bunch of affiliates to keep sending traffic to a company's site is a full-time job. Also, affiliates usually have a lot of hassle dealing with multiple vendors… imagine you're an affiliate and need to collect 20 or 50 small checks from dozens of vendors each month!

That's why a type of middleman exists, the "affiliate network", or "network" for short, that combines the offers of hundreds of companies that wish to sell "stuff", with the traffic-generation abilities of hundreds of affiliates. who, in turn, prefer to get one monthly check from one source, rather than trying to collect from each vendor individually.

There are a number of other advantages for affiliates in dealing with a network, for example they can simply search the network's online database for offers that they like. Large networks like CommissionJunction.com or ClickBank.com have thousands upon thousands of offers ready for affiliates to promote.

The disadvantage, of course, is that the network takes a cut off of the affiliate payout. For example, if a vendor were to pay you 40% if you dealt with him directly, the same offer may only pay out 30% if you went through an affiliate network. Still, the benefits of networks outweigh the disadvantages most of the time.

So… you want to be a lazy/rich affiliate marketer?

There are many ways for affiliates to generate traffic, for example by sending e-mail blasts to lists of people interested in a topic, or by generating "natural search result" traffic. The latter is accomplished by building a site that ranks high in the search engines for a specific term or phrase, for example, "credit report". The whole phrase "credit report" would be referred to as a "keyword" (even if it's actually two or more words)

A much more long-lived, stable and reliable method of traffic generation is to simply buy your traffic. You can do so from the sponsored search results which you see on the right-hand side after a successful Google search.

Every time a Google user clicks on one of these so-called "Adwords Ads" in Google, the affiliate (you) gets charged an amount (usually between ten cents and one dollar), for receiving the click, and passing it on to the affiliate network's landing page URL, which contains your affiliate ID as issued by the network.

On that landing page, the visitor whom you just bought from Google, hopefully buys the item offered, or fills out the lead-generation form, so you get proper credit on your commission check at the end of the month.

Depending on how expensive the keywords in your market are, buying clicks at rates up to a dollar or more can get very expensive very quickly. And the higher you wish your ad to appear in Google's sponsored results column, the higher your bid price. Your challenge, as an affiliate, is to snoop out the exact keywords that cost you so little that you make a healthy profit with your pay-per-click ("PPC") campaign.

Explaining Google Adwords in its entirety is beyond the scope of this article; please sign up for your free Adwords account at http://adwords.google.com.

The good news is, with HexaTrack you don't need to become a "guru" in Adwords, either. Once you have set up both your Adwords account and at least one affiliate network account, you can immediately begin using HexaTrack, saving yourself the 400-page Adwords books out there, many of which tend to make the matter appear more complicated than it really is.

Video Tutorial #1: HexaTrack Overview

By now I assume you have picked an offer from an affiliate network of your choice (all currently supported networks are listed inside your HexaTrack membership). The video tutorial uses an offer for a free credit report as an example.

You should also have your "seed keyword" ready, which is basically the most obvious, plain keyword you can come up with that is related to your market. In our example, it would be "credit report". We call it seed keyword because it is the "seed" from which all the "long tail keywords" will sprout… and it's these "longer" keywords (for example "free credit report" or "bad credit report") that are to be had from Google Adwords at bargain prices.

Only if you pay less for your clicks than your competitors will you be able to make real money. Larry's tuturial shows you where that information can be found in HexaTrack:

Now you know the two main stages of using HexaTrack: First, you'll want t use the the keyword research and spy tool, and second, you'll want to use the results tracking tool that connects directly to  the results from your affiliate network. Let's go deeper into the first stage, the Ad Tracker module which includes keyword research and competitor intelligence:

Video Tutorial #2: Ad Tracker

Start with a single keyword and HexaTrack will suggest hundreds of related keywords automatically… and will even neatly list their estimated Google bid price!

Then choose for how many days you wish to "spy" on your competitors. HexaTrack will literally ferret out all the ads that competitors are running on "your" keywords, and will monitor their activity for, say, 14 days. Competitors who keep advertising are probably making money. Competitors who come and go, probably don't. HexaTrack will condense all this information into a profitability score between 1 and 10, which tells you exactly which markets and keywords it's best to break into…

In other words: You can piggyback directly on your competitor's success: HexaTrack shows their ads in plain view and all you need to do is tweak the copy of the more successful ones, so your ads rank a little better than theirs!

Can you do that? We're proud of the thousands of HexaTrack users who already do this every day…

Video Tutorial #3: Using HexaTrack with the Network Landing Page Method

Are you going to make money by sending PPC traffic directly to affiliate programs, i.e. to their landing page, or indirectly, to a page that you built and control, which, in turn, forwards your traffic to the network?

This video is about the direct method (directly from Adwords ad to networ's landing page), the next one is about the indirect method (you build your own landing page).

Before I get into the details of the direct method, let me share a confession with you…

Before I got into this, I didn't believe myself how easily millions of dollars are generated this way every day… and later I kicked myself for not having started earlier!

Not only do you not ever need to deal with customers and creating your own products, you don't even need to set up your own web page! Just buy clicks from Google Adwords and forward the click directly to the network's offer landing page of your choice. The affiliate network provides the landing page for you and sends you checks.

Of course, there are things to learn and work to do on your part. There's no free money to be had. You still need to be smart in choosing the keywords that are so cheap that you turn a profit. And that's exactly where HexaTrack helps you.

Remember the keyword selection you learned to make in the last video? Simply go into one of the six affiliate networks and copy your personal affiliate link into HexaTrack…

HexaTrack immediately spits out an equivalent link that you can paste right into Google Adwords, and the profitability of every single keyword is tracked automatically, using a special code that is passed on to the affiliate network.

(If you're familiar with older tools: No need to create hundreds of custom tracking codes and matching them back to your keywords in a spreadsheet the size of a football field)

With HexaTrack, you're on your way to measuring the profitability of hundreds of keywords in minutes! Throw out the duds and increase traffic on the winners, and you're on your way to making money. Before HexaTrack, this was a process that used to take days!

This video shows you exactly how: Larry is switching back and forth between the network's screen and HexaTrack's screen so you see exactly what codes you're going to copy and paste, from where, to where.

Sure Larry and I are rocket scientists at this game, but we know that's not everyone. Tweaking your Adwords campaigns used to be "black magic" and if I told you the countless hours I spent slaving over spreadsheets tracking my keyword performance, you'd think I'd be begging for sympathy. Too complicated for the average user, we thought. And plainly too much work for the "Internet marketing livestyle" Larry and I desired. With this tutorial, Larry even breaks it down "for the rest of us" in easy steps… Thanks Larry!

Video Tutorial #4: Using HexaTrack with the Single-Offer Landing Page Method

Okay, the previous tutorial showed you how to "sandwich" HexaTrack between Google (your traffic source) and the affiliate network's own landing page for the offer you're promoting… the so-called "direct" method.

What if you prefer to design your own landing page though, i.e. your own mini web site hosted on a domain of your own? This can be very useful and profitable as it may allow you to lower your bid price or to add your own "marketing umph" that sells the affiliate offer "harder" than the network itself can.

This video shows you how: Larry takes you step-by-step through the process of:

  • Copying the sales link from the affiliate network and pasting it into a new HexaTrack campaign
  • HexaTrack immediately creates a piece of HTML/JavaScript code… all you need to do is add it to the top of each of your landing pages (Larry shows how to do it in Dreamweaver, a popular HTML editor)
  • Lastly, HexaTrack generates the "Order Now" link code for you… Larry even shows you how to make it a graphical button (which tends to increase your conversion rate even more).

Now you're ready to promote your own custom landing page on the Web, which arguably might give you higher conversion rates than the generic landing page offered by the network. Simply send all your Google Adwords traffic to that one landing page, regardless of the keyword.

See, In the bad old days, you would have had to worry about how every individual keyword was transmitted all the way to the affiliate network. Then you'd have to compare each keyword's performance with the codes you'd receive back from the network, and compare them side-by-side.

A royal pain in the behind, if you've ever done it!

Larry's screen cam shows you in real time how you can set up an entire closed-loop Adwords monitoring system in minutes with HexaTrack.

Watch it here:

Sometimes I'm amazed myself how easy it really is… and I co-invented the tool! ;-)

What are Larry & Amish's "PPC 2.0 Training Briefs", and why are they being withheld from me?

First off, I hope you like our HexaTrack FREE tool, and the current tutorials. It is important to us that you get started with making money in Pay Per Click quickly… while you don't have to pay us a dime.

Sure, HexaTrack FREE is limited in the number of campaigns and keywords it supports, but for a beginner, it's a fully functional tool to literally make thousands of dollars per month with PPC. (I certainly was a beginner not too long ago.)

Currently HexaTrack PRO is offered at only $47 a month, without the restrictions of the FREE version.. But don't upgrade to PRO just yet… at least not before you know these important facts:

Fact #1: First off, the $47 / mo introductory price for PRO will be removed shortly and there's a good reason why: HexaTrack PRO is all about ongoing training, way beyond the basics we can cover here. As soon as the value of our online training increases, HexaTrack PRO's price will increase.

Fact #2: Without giving away too much just yet, let me just say that Larry and I have been working on a series of tutorials on some, let's say, "more profitable" pay-per-click techniques that we accidentally stumbled upon in the last few months.

How would you like to multiply the power of Pay Per Click with the viral power of "Web 2.0" Social Media, such as MySpace, YouTube, FaceBook, Digg? We call these techniques "Pay Per Click 2.0"… Only a small insider group has been combining PPC with Social Media so far… and the results for us have been nothing short of astonishing… so astonishing, in fact, that we've been advised by all of our "insider" PPC friends to not release this information to just anyone yet… they think it's simply too valuable!

Our friends think releasing this info "out in the wild" would ruin their lazy PPC "beach bum" lifestyle! And we certainly wouldn't want to be responsible for that! ;-)

Only HexaTrack PRO users will get access to our upcoming series of private "PPC 2.0 Training Briefs"…

But we wouldn't be Larry and Amish if we hadn't figured out a way to share this info with you after all.. However, showing respect to our friends, it will not be for free. As soon as the first of these secret tutorials are ready, they will be distributed to paying HexaTrack PRO members only. At the same time, the price for PRO memberships will go up sharply, unless you have locked the current price of $47 per month, which we will never raise on you, ever.

As I'm writing this, Larry and I are feverishly working on the first two PPC 2.0 Training Briefs and we will be finished any moment. As soon as the first tutorial is ready to be released to our PRO members, we reserve the right to "pull the plug" on the current low price. Only HexaTrack members who have "PRO" status at that time will keep their cheap $47 / month access forever…. and as each new tutorial comes out, the knowledge inside the HexaTrack PRO membership will keep increasing in value.

Now you have the facts to decide…  Sign up for HexaTrack PRO and lock in your current low monthly rate before the price goes up. You'll get the more powerful software and insider "PPC 2.0" training that gets more and more valuable each month..

See you on the other side… ;-)

Great tutorial!

Thanks for the help.

One question–

Justs grabbed this from Google–

Starting in April, display URLs for new ads will be required to match their destination / landing page URLs, without exception. Please adjust your URLs accordingly when creating new ads.

How will this affect hexatrack users and how to overcome it?

Thanks

Art peterson

John @ 3:23 pm:

Hi Guys,

first of all: thanks for Hexatrack. Sounds really exciting. Even if its still a bit confusing for me as a IM newbie I hope I will get the picture as soon as I actually apply it.

My most important question is: I live in Germany. May I use Hexatrack for the german market as well? Does it find out german seed keywords as well? Thanks for your reply. John

I'm new to setting up landing pages for CPA affiliate offers.
Do you have training on creating good landing pages or do you have a leadpage / minisite creator as part of your software?

Thanks,
John

Hi

I was wondering the same thing as Art Peterson, namely how the changes at Google come April 1st, regarding display and landing page URLs, will affect Hexatrack.

Cheers

Kelley @ 7:10 pm:

What's different than all the other spy tools out there?
Better yet some of them are on our own servers not yours.
What's keeping you from 'borrowing' our keywords?
Are we paying you to find profitable markets for you?

I can't view the training videos. Were they taken down or simply run out of bandwidth for the month??

Are these videos available in the forum or just here in the Blog?
