(personal video) a fine mess we have gotten you into…

Wow… 7 days of downtime!

A fine mess we haven gotten you (and ourselves) into. Our mothers would be proud.

Thankfully it's over (or you wouldn't be seeing this blog post). But before I go into today's video, let me tell you right away that Larry and I are going to make it up to you. No ifs, ands or buts about it. We'll be dropping a hint of what we'll be doing for you in the video…

But first, some serious words are in order…

While some of you have only been "playing around" with HexaTrack FREE so far (you know who you are!!), quite a few of you have begun to build their livelihood on our HexaTrack PRO tool.

We recognize that. And we recognize that if we have a downtime, you may be without campaign tracking and optimizing for hours or, or as it were in this case, even for days.

Whoever hosts and controls our servers, holds the key to the success or failure of thousands of HexaTrack users!!

It sure boggles our mind, and, quite frankly, before this event, we thought of ourselves as just two dudes helping a bunch of people out, who aren't yet as successful at PPC as we are.

…but a wise man once said: With great power comes great responsibility

One of our friends suggested to blame these ten days from hell on Kaela the cat (she's playing a cameo in today's video, btw). Another friend said to blame it on RackSpace, our hosting company.

Look, whether it's the cat or the co-lo, at the end of the day it is our responsibility to keep HexaTrack going… so you can continue to:

(To say this upfront to those who just casually follow HexaTrack: downtimes like these will not "stop" your campaigns so long as you replace the HexaTrack redirect link with the original affiliate landing page, or your own landing page, respectively.)

But enough technical support mumbo-jumbo. Enough attempts at explaining the catastrophe.

It's really not yours or anybody's fault. At the end of the day, it's us.

Yes, the buck stops here, with us, and we're sorry.

We will make it up to you… that's what today's video announcement is all about:

Before I get into the details about our "apology offer", let me insert this important bulletin:

The time has come: Better, more expensive HexaTrack PRO version 2.0 to be released next week

Okay, we kept saying the HexaTrack PRO price would increase when we would turn PRO into the ultimate "Pay-Per-Click 2.0" membership for both learning and automating our "secret sauce" of PPC 2.0 techniques.

We also said, this price increase would not affect your subscription if you already had one, or would get one right now.

We kept announcing this (like a broken record!) and kept encouraging you to upgrade to PRO ASAP, so you would get grandfathered into the upgraded PRO at the old price.

And I know some of you didn't quite believe our announcements any more… they kept dragging their feet to upgrade to PRO, thinking –hoping!– we didn't really mean it.

Well, as of next week, we must increase the PRO monthly recurring fee for new members to $147. Not just to pay for our new $7,000-a-month server tab (more on that below)…. more so to keep delivering all these new PPC 2.0 automation features, about which you'll hear a lot more in the next weeks:

  • Track any affiliate network, not just the big 6
  • Track any action on your own site (product purchase, opt-in, anything) and find out the exact long-tail keywords that lead to it
  • E-mail campaign tracking
  • …and of course, our training materials for all of the above, revealing the techniques we've been quietly using to get clicks from Adwords as low as 2 cents!!

As you see, we're true to our word. Unless you already are a member, or become a new member this week, you will pay over triple our current rate, or $147/mo for the PRO membership with all its focus on education.

[Again, to clarify: Anyone who becomes a member before the official day of the price increase will never pay more than  the old $47/mo, ever!]

But it gets even better…

So what if Larry and Amish, the negligent but repentent sinners, made the following true for you…

What if we waived the $50 setup fee for HexaTrack PRO 2.0 on the day of the price increase, for a full 24 hours?

…and what if we reduced the $147 fee for the first month of PRO usage to, say, $1?

(…so you would basically get $196 worth of stuff for free?)

…would you find it in your heart to forgive us?

It's your chance to make fun of us for our server woes. It's your chance to stick it to the co-lo man. Or to the cat. Or to whomever you'd like to blame. (We, of course, put the blame squarely on ourselves, where it belongs!)

Anyway, this would be your chance to test-drive what is probably the coolest pay-per-click membership on the market …for just a buck flat!

(All hosted in our brand-new $7,000-a-month server facilities, of course — this week from hell is never going to happen to me again, if I have a say in the matter.)

So for a buck, you'll get HexaTrack PRO 2.0 and all the related educational benefits that we have coming down the pike for PRO users, such as the pay-per-click 2.0 training we've been quietly preparing during our forced server downtime… (so,  umm, thank you, server gremlins, for giving us the quiet moments we needed to finish this stuff up!)

But wait, there's more… we came up with a clever name for this too:

Watch out for the 24-hour HexaTrack PRO "Mea Culpa Sale!"

So here are your two choices:

  1. Either get HexaTrack PRO 2.0 now, pay $97 for the first month, then $47/mo for life.
  2. Or wait for the "Mea Culpa" sale next week and get HexaTrack PRO 2.0 for $1 for the first month, then $147/mo for life.

Where? Right here at www.hexatrack.com/pro

When? The server gods willing, mid-next week (give us a few days to recoup from our server meltdown)

What? One month of HexaTrack PRO 2.0  for a buck and no set-up fee.

Watch this space…

…and again: We're sorry!!! :-)

~Amish

P.S. What if you already own HexaTrack PRO? What if you've been a loyal customer of ours, perhaps built a few campaigns based on PRO, and thus gut really shafted during the downtime? :-(

We've been racking our brains… what to do for you? Our recurring billing system won't let us easily reverse any of your fees for this month, especially not an oddball amount like $196 (which is the gift we're willing to give new members next week). Reversing odd amounts like this would be an accounting mess.

But we figured out a way to make it up to you double and triple… to you, the current PRO user:

As you know, we have more, exquisitely exclusive training options and products coming down the pike… offers that wouldset mere mortals back by hundreds, if not thousands of dollars.

However, since you're not a mere mortal, but one of the first PRO customers to prove your loyalty to us, and you stuck it out with us during this server downtime, you deserve a special reward:

You'll receive an electronic discount coupon at least worth 2 months of HexaTrack fees, redeemable towards specific upcoming Hexa products and services.

Fair?

P.P.S. Don't e-mail us about this coupon just yet — if you're a current customer, we obviosuly have your contact information and as soon as the details on our next paid offers are finalized, we'll let you know — by way of a special e-mail bulletin — how exactly you can claim your discount.

Thanks again for your patience and support during these grueling 7 days…

P.P.P.S. I can't overemphasize this: If you're already a current PRO customer (or become one right now), your monthly $47 fees will not increase after the "Mea Culpa" $1 sale next week. No matter how you got into the membership, your features will automatically be upgraded to HexaTrack 2.0, if they haven't been already. Take comfort in the thought that everybody who signs up after next week has to pay $147 a month for a service that you only pay $47 a month for… forever!

Gary @ 1:44 am:

All fine and dandy, all this marketing 'fluff' what about the support for UK sites that has been promised for months in the forums that *still* hasn't been delivered????

Great product guys but you need to realise the world is made up of more than one country!

Chas @ 4:10 am:

I'm guessing Gary uses an iMac as well. Dude, ask the government for permission to start your own service.

David Henderson @ 2:31 pm:

Population clock
U.S. 304,162,892
Europe 800,401,065
World 6,669,784,484

Love the idea of the product guys, love the look of the upcoming features.
Dont like the delay on the rest of the world, and after a week of problems its a bit much to go down the marketing price rise route. Let the product do the marketing.

Chas, we don't need to ask for government permission here, you should try it sometime.

Mark Dekker @ 1:36 am:

I agree with Gary. The rest of the world Europe is a big market to tap into.

Brian @ 9:29 am:

It is good to hear you will have training videos.

Hexatrack, is like learning to fly a 747 jet, and without
training, it would be a challenge to get it to fly!

Please outline, step by step, what you do to identify a campaign, and how you set it up, and what you do to track and improve its performance.

Then I will be ready to fly it!
