Hi Amish, larry and Jeffrey

Thanks for all the great work you guys are doing, can't wait for the training/actual project(from you guys) video and the PPC training modules!!!

I read the success guide PDF from which i have a question please. The thing that stood out was that when you see a keyword without any ads running / have been running for this then go for this one. I presume also low No of ads running for keyword is POSITIVE?!

The thing is that often the PROFIT SCORE for these keywords are low and have LOW TRAFFIC/CLICKS PER DAY!!! Although the cost per click is a lot lower, which is more affordable for most of us.

So the only UN-ANSWERED question still is (not talked about in the analysis in 'success guide') When do you DECIDE to go for high profit score keywords (high competition and high CPC) or LOW nO. ADS keywords(low competition/low CPC).

Does the upcoming video explain the reasoning behind what keywords to go after?!

Hope you may be able to explain this issue a bit further.

Regards

Arjen

Hello Amish, Larry and Jeffrey,

Dittos on a great product and thanks for your responses here in the forum.

My question(s) is also in regards to those asked by Argen.  It would be most helpful if you would share your thought process as to how you size-up the great data provided by the Hexatrack tool.

For example:  What do you look for...  what is the ideal combination of factors that you search for between Profit Score, low clicks per day vs high clicks per day, competition score high/low/middle, low ads/no ads, etc?  Is there an ideal, or is it a matter of weighing certain factors...  and which factors are most important?

What have you found to actually be most profitable in your experience?  Is it simple or complicated?

Also, do you have any suggestions in terms of a strategy or game plan that newer users of Hexatrack might consider...  how one could possibly start on a smaller budget and work up to larger more expensive campaigns that build upon previous success?

To summarize, the data from Hexatrack is fantastic, but any insights based on your experience as to how to view the data, harness it, and implement it, would be appreciated!

Sincere thanks,

Hawk

Hi,

Some great questions here!

First off let me say that the Profitability Score is still under beta.  We are constantly tweaking the algorithm for that.  We think we actually nailed it!  That new Profitability Score will be in place sometime next week (probably Friday).  Unfortunately, all your old data will not reflect the new P. Score.  You will have to restart your projects. But what's good about that is that you will get fresh data and a better P. Score.  We'll send an email once this is done and a forum post.

I would definitely start off on smaller budgets.  No one says you have to start with a 30K budget.  When I first started PPC, I was just dabbling here and there.  I learned a lot and lost a lot.  But as I lost money, I learned from my mistakes and made them into profitable campaigns.  So I would suggest starting with smaller budgets.  You can set the daily limits in AdWords.

Looking for profitable keywords is tricky.  But having the right balance between keywords, p. score, and all other factors is important.  The best thing to do would be to go for keywords that have a lower advertiser competition, but high clicks.  Or at least a good balance.  If there are 60 or so ads, that means there is money in that market for sure!  It also depends on the offer you are running.  It's not just based on competition.  So if you landing page is better than your competition, there is a good chance even tho there are 10 pages of ads, you can be on the first page for less than 30 cents a click.

The main thing is to test, test, and test. You will start seeing a pattern emerge.

We will be releasing videos on Quality Score and how to lower your CPC and increase your QS.

Watch for it!
