3D heading... Text Optical Illusion.

Hi,

Came across this website. http://www.hypnotictunes.com/ - have a look at the heading which uses different size fonts and colors to create a 3D effect.

I wonder whether this is just considered a gimmick or whether it helps to capture the searchers attention and retain them at the site.

Anyway captured this little speckled ducks attention - I loved the heading - just hope the music works!!!

Mmm I see what you mean Steve.
That first part of the headline really does stand out and stare at you!

Its nice work subtle but very effective at grabbing the attention.
If I was to be critical at all I think its that the attention grabbing aspect
works so well they would have been better to have used it on a subhead line such as the
'Law Of Attraction On Auto-Pilot!'  That at least has some benefit within its copy.

I agree with you that maybe the heading is too good.

I was not searching for this product and was sent the link by a friend and I spent perhaps 5 minutes marvelling at the heading, without really looking any further. By the same token I would rather have someone marvel at my heading than to have a lame heading and have a person click away after 2 seconds.

After spending half my life looking at webpages I found this one to stand out from the crowd.

Yes the text is quite attention capturing. If you would like to create such text i am using a website builder called staticrev it is the simplist but very powerful web builder i have used. you can find it here www.staticrev.com it is a very easy to use web builder and you can make such headings and use various colors. It is also benifital for creating internet marketing related and ecommerce websites.
