Link for Clickbank tracking code not working

Hello,

I have been trying to set up tracking for a Clickbank campaign and the link that is given to me from the Hexatrack system doesn't go anywhere. The following code is what I'm being given for a tracking code.

Code:

<a href="#" onclick="redirectClient();">CLICK HERE!</a>

I thought the # for the href looked weird but I thought it must be something Hexatrack is looking for.

The result is a link that takes me no where because there isn't an actual link declared.

Am I doing something wrong ??

Update ...

After a lengthy process of elimination, the problem ended up being in the code I copy and pasted between the header tags. Something that happens every now and then after copying from a website. There was some invisible characters in the pasted text that caused it not to work. After I entered the code by hand (instead of cut and past) it worked like a champ.

I thought about deleting this post but perhaps it will help someone else who may experience similar trouble.
