Hello,

Can someone please help me.  I watched the video about key word searches.  I need more explanation about after you put in your one or two seed words.

I got a list of keywords to choose from.  What criteria do you use to select up to your 50 keywords to process for the minimum 7 day period?

How does search volume and competition help me to make the best decision in selection of my (up to 50 keywords)?

After this is determined and results are in, do I choose the "long tailed keywords" that have the highest pay per click cost?  What criteria do I use to make the best determination?

I really do not understand what each column represents and how I use this data to help me with SEO.

Please help.  Thank you.

You choose the keywords most relative to your seed keyword. The idea here is to spy on competition and watch what ads and keywords they are bidding on. If you see someone advertising for a number of days you can be certain they are making money. Obviously choosing keywords that aren't closely tied to your seed or market won't do you any good.

High Search Volume = Interest in the market, this is great!
Lots of Competition = There's money in the market

You want a balance of both. High search volume and low competition (1-2 ads) means either a untapped niche or little money in the market. High search volume and 1-2 pages of ads means there is money in the market and room to play. I like these.

I think your missing the point of this entirely. Once the results are in you look at the competition and see who's making money. Look at what other words they are bidding on. Look at landing pages and analyze what other people are marketing. Use this information to put together your plan of attack.

Hope that helps.
