Hi Amish and Larry

The video tutorial showed the use of a landing page, but with just 'click here' (or other words) to track data/keywords!

If you use a landing page that has a subscription/opt-in form from aweber, how does the set up work re tracking code/URL.

Obviously I would use the javascript code single offer. Step 1 to place various code on the page but step 2 ......

Huh 1) what tracking URL do i use for the adword or other PPC ads?
      2) what URL do i use for the opt-in form by aweber in this case?

Should I still implement step 1 in the tutorial video?

Please help as I am a bit lost and would like to make sure i am tracking the keywords correctly in my present adword campaigns.

Warm regards

Hello,

We're going to release a new feature next week that will allow you to track long tails for opt-in forms/campaigns. It's going to be a new type of HexaTrack campaign.

This will work in conjunction with a piece of Javascript code on your email campaign's thank you page. It will work for AWeber, GetResonse, and other similar services.

Basically the way it'll work is you'll create a campaign in HT, then put the Javascript code in your landing pages' <head> tag. The opt-in form code will be as-is.
Put another piece of Javascript code we'll give you on your email campaign's thank you page to notify us of a lead. And that's it.

The destination URL you'll use in your PPC campaign will just be the full URL to your landing page with the optin form.

Don't worry if it doesn't make total sense yet. We'll have a video to show how it all works.

We'll send out a broadcast as soon as it's ready.

Thanks for your patience.

Hi

Thanks for your kind reply. I've talking to the webmaster I use. TRhis was his reply about using a thank you page in between the squeeze/forced opt-in page and the main page/affiliate page.

"Be careful making everything too complicated just for the sake of tracking."

Have you guys experience with using a 'thank you' page in between regarding conversion tool codes? If so did your conversions reduce/number of people accesing the main page reduce!

Your thopughts on this are appreciated

many thanks for all you've done sofar, amazing!

Having a thank you page in between the actual offer and the sales page doesn't always hurt.

However, you have to be VERY clear on your thank you page.

Such as, make sure they know they just opted in and they have to take ONE more step to get where they need to be.

Sometimes, just making the thank you page the affiliate link (hexatrack link) is a way to opt-in people and have them go directly to the offer.

We are releasing a new feature which will include tracking opt-in's to offer sales, etc.

It'll be available only for Pro members.  Watch for it in the next two weeks or so!
